Windjammer Fun center is now the 2nd worst ran rink in Ky.
First Off, I am a Skater. It has been 2 years since I have been to this rink (was Finleys Fun Center) now named Windjammer. When i first walked in, I seen probably 100 kids and a empty rink floor. I got about 30 minutes of skating in before the horror started.. They allowed kids with no skates just in socks and some bare footed to chase each other across the rink floor in front of incoming skater traffic, their sweaty socks left a few slick spots on the floor plus dragging candy wrappers, unchewed gum, candy and other dangerous debris on the rink floor. They allow kids to skate any direction they want plus they allow the kids to continue to use those little (skate walkers) even after they learn to skate which pose a safety hazard for others. NO Floor guards,no supervision on rink floor at all. My best advice is to drive 35 more miles north to Champs in Lexington, They have rules and you can actually Skate there..
