Welcome to the Town of Beausejour’s Sun Gro Centre arena and curling club, constructed in 2002. Programs offered include public skating and a free indoor walking track accessible year-round. Members of our facility include such groups as minor hockey, figure skating, ringette, speed skating, and mens’ / ladies’ / mixed recreational hockey leagues, as well as curling leagues for all ages.
Home to both the Beausejour Blades Jr. A Hockey Club (MJHL) and the Beausejour Beavers Hockey Club (MEHL), we offer a heated, indoor, regulation-sized ice surface seasonally from end-August through April, and are licensed through the MLCC for all adult (admission paid) games. We have hosted such events as the 2005 Peewee Minor Hockey Provincials and the 2006 Manitoba “PowerSmart” Winter Games, as well as 7-9 hockey tournaments annually. Summertime has seen our facility host the 2007 Eastman Career Fair as well as the annual Lions Club Home & Leisure Tradeshow (2003-2008).
Our curling rink boast 6 sheets of fun from October through March annually, and has proudly hosted such events as the 2004 Scott Tournament of Hearts and, most recently, the 2008 Strathcona Senior Mens’ Championships.
Meeting rooms are available for business or private functions, seating between 25-125 persons, offered year-round, with a coffee/food services menu available upon request.
