Being the only roller rink in the Saginaw immediate area, I give them the thumbs down if anyone should ask about them. I skated at this rink when it was called BROCKWAY ARENA in the 70's-80's. It is a pitiful ghost of what it once was. The skating surface is in deplorable condition; by all rights, it should be closed on that premise alone. However, as an experienced and extremely competent skater, I was told I could not do certain things that are part of any good skater's skills. I feel this was racially motivated (I am African-American), and they simply do not want to cater to people of color. Also, the music is abysmal to listen to for any real skater,(old,too much MJ!). Save your money and time, do not frequent this establishment. There are much more customer-friendly rinks like Skateland in Mt. Morris, Mi., or Metro Skate West in Bay City for skaters of any color! This rink stinks! They should close and put themselves out of their own misery!! Not worth your time or money!!!
