Welcome to the RinkTime profile for Silver Wheels Roller Skating Rink. Founded in 1973, Silver Wheels of Joplin, MO has been a favorite destination of roller skaters and families for 35 years. Silver Wheels is an indoor roller rink and open year round.

Public Skating

Public skating sessions are one of our main attractions at Silver Wheels. Skating provides great exercise and an opportunity to get out of the house. Plus, it's not like exercising at the gym... skating is fun! We play a great variety of music that is fun to skate to. Check out all of our great features:

Are you planning a birthday party or other event? Do you want to rent the facility for a skate? Please complete the following form and the Silver Wheels's staff will contact you as soon as possible.

Upcoming sessions are posted by the front door of the rink. Swing by and see when our next session is! Listed below is our normal schedule.

Friday:

When: 7:00pm - 10:00pm Cost: Only $6.00! (Includes skate rental!)

Saturday:

When: 2:00pm - 4:00pm Cost: Only $4.00! (Includes skate rental!)

Tuesday/Thursday Skates:

During the school year, we typically have sessions on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings. These sessions are open to the public. However, we also sponsor local schools during these sessions and give back a portion of the admission price to the schools, depending on how many students from each school come to skate! Swing by the rink and pick up a schedule to find out when your school is skating!

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00pm - 8:00pm Cost: Only $4.00! (Includes skate rental!)

All Day Skates:

Silver Wheels also offers All Day Skates on various days throughout the year, typically on school holidays. Admission is usually $8.00 (Includes skate rental) for our 11:00am - 5:00pm session. Lunch tickets are made available for only $1.00 and include a hot dog, soft drink, and candy.

Theme/Holiday Skates:

This year, Silver Wheels will hold theme skates on various days and holidays throughout the year.

Halloween Skate:

When: Saturday October 24, 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Cost: Admission $6 (includes skate rental)

Celebrate Halloween early! Come dressed in your best Halloween costume, because everyone who does will receive a FREE light stick (orange or green, of course)! Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 costumes! Skate and dance to the scary music! Roll through the eerie fog! Enjoy the bubbling witch's brew and Halloween treats at the snack bar! Lots of games and lots of prizes! Lots of lights sticks and glow items will be available for purchase!

Shop Till You Drop ALL DAY Skate:

When: Friday November 28, 11:00am - 5:00pm

Cost: Admission $8 (includes skate rental)

Parents! Looking for a place to drop the kids while you get started on your Christmas shopping? Bring the kids to Silver Wheels for an ALL DAY SKATE! We'll have lunch tickets available for purchase for the incredibly low price of only $1.00! That includes an all-beef hot dog, small drink, and candy! What a deal! Kids will get to skate, play games, and hang out with their friends all day long! We'll take care of the entertainment, cooking, and clean up!

Parties:

Birthday Parties

Silver Wheels offers birthday parties during our Saturday afternoon sessions from 2:00pm - 4:00pm for only $60! During the months of July and August, birthday parties are held during our Saturday evening sessions from 7:00pm - 10:00pm for only $75. We make it easy for parents! Just bring the cake and the kids, and we'll provide everything else you need! Your birthday party includes:

Admission and skate rental for up to 12 skaters (each additional skater $5.00)
Invitations prepared in advance for you to give to your guests
Party booths reserved with a bouquet of balloons
Free soft drink for each skater
Free glow stick for each skater
The birthday song played for your party
A Polaroid picture of your group
Plates, napkins, forks, and serving utensils
A "Two Weeks Free Skating" Pass for the birthday guest, good for all sessions

As a parent, you don't have to entertain, cook, or clean house for your child's birthday party! Just have the party at Silver Wheels, and we'll do the entertaining, cooking, and cleaning for you! It will be the easiest party you ever hosted, and you get it all for only $5.00 per child (minimum total of $60)!

Private Parties

Silver wheels also offers private parties! Reserve the entire skating rink for your party!

For only $150, you can have a private party with the birthday package seen above for up to 30 skaters! Each additional skater is only $5 more!

Not celebrating a birthday, but still want to have a party? You can reserve the rink without the birthday package for only $150 for up to 50 skaters! Each additional skater is only $3 more!
