Canlan Ice Sports is a four ice pad facility with Thirsty Penguin Grillhouse overlooking all four ice pads. Full sports store inside. Hockey and Skating academy for Youth and Adult, Camps, Adult Rec League and Youth 3on3.

Adult Safe Hockey League

The Adult Safe Hockey League is a professionally managed recreational hockey League operating in Canlan owned, leased or managed facilities. The ASHL offers a safe and competitive environment to a wide variety of age divisions and skill levels. The ASHL has grown to over 75,000 active players and it continues to grow wherever Canlan Ice Sports develops new facilities or ASHL Satellite League opportunities arise.

In addition, this branded program provides many other benefits, including Sports Accident Insurance for every registered member and Real Time Player Statistics to make your hockey experience safe and exciting. The Adult Safe Hockey League brings its Facility Champions together at four ASHL Regional Championships every year. Regional participants also have an opportunity to qualify for the ASHN North American Championship.

Our League management and officiating Team are committed to ensuring the ASHL provides a safe and challenging level of recreational competition for men and women of all hockey backgrounds. With championships played at the Facility, Regional and North American levels, the ASHL is North America’s BEST recreational league!

Youth 3 on 3 Hockey

Think Fast, Skate Hard! Boasting over 11,000 players nationally, the Dasani 3 on 3 Youth Hockey League is for players who want to intensify their game.

By thinking faster and skating harder, players develop greater aerobic endurance than compared to regular 5 on 5 hockey.

3 on 3 hockey improves overall skill development and game strategy by challenging players both offensively and defensively. This non-contact league is specifically designed to enable players to keep their conditioning level high and their skills sharp through the off season.

Programs

The Canlan Ice Sports Skating Academy offers a wide selection of skating development programs to meet the needs of any child or adult who wishes to skate. Each level of the Canlan Ice Sports Skating Academy – Learn to Skate Program is designed with specific elements and exercises to be completed by the participant.

Each skater in the Academy enters at the designated level according to skill and age. Our system is designed to progress participants from the Learn to Skate program up to figure skating and hockey programs. The Canlan Ice Sports Skating Academy boasts professional instruction which gives each participant an opportunity to excel!

The Canlan Ice Sports Hockey Academy has developed a progression system that helps youths and adults progress towards their training goals.

Each level has been standardized for on-ice content and designed with specific drills to assist participants in their development.

Our instructors have been professionally trained to make your experience a memorable one. If you or your child wish to get a head start on your hockey career or would like to fine tune your skills, the Canlan Ice Sports Hockey Academy has a program for you.

Hockey Camps

Breakaway from boredom and unleash your child’s inner athlete by adding some excitement to their vacation with a Canlan Hockey Camp. Our camps offer an action-packed week of hockey conditioning, skill development and off-ice games for children of all ages and skill levels.

Let our qualified and friendly instructors improve your child’s hockey skills by focusing on progression and proper technique. Participants will learn new skills and drills in an environment that fosters sportsmanship, teamwork and most of all fun.
