This rink is great! We had my daughter's 8th b-day party there on 5/27/12! It was a private party and it was wonderful, staff friendly and fun! The staff even offered to help with the decorating and cleaning up, we brought our on! I can't say anything about the concession b/c we didn't use it! I made all of the food and was allowed to bring it in, my baby don't like pizza. The only negative thing I can say about Skateland USA is no doors in the restroom and really it needs carpet in there b/c the floors in restroom is super slick! I did speak with the about the doors and I was told they are redoing them and the stalls will have doors soon! So all around this is a party my baby girl will not forget and neither will her friends! They all had an exceptional time and we will return soon! To all the people with negative experiences I am really sorry that you guys didn't like it! Oh yeah we got a great price for a great party:) Thanks again Skateland for making my daughter so happy:):):
The place is pretty nice. I like going there to hang with my friends but everytime I leave I feel so gross. It's just so dirty in there. It's WAY too expensive. The staff is nice. Parking is very good. The music is very good but needs more variety. Concessions are too expensive. Safety is horrible. The officers in there are too busy talking to eachother to stop kids from skating so carelessly. The restrooms are GROSS. No doors. Not clean, just awful. It was a nice place to hang out with friends though so I am likely to return.
Paid $7 for entry when the previous week it was $6. The hours were changed without notice. There were at least 50 small children (ages 4-6) there for birthday parties and some older children, all of whom could not skate very well, so lots of falling and accidents all over the floor. Floor guard did nothing to kids who caused accidents due to carelessness and fast speeds. There are rules posted outside of the rink but none are followed inside. No direction rules are followed so everyone can skate in different directions (forward, backward, and left to right or right to left) all at the same time and without warning. If a main priority is having fun while being safe, Skateland USA in Florence is not for you. It is an enter at your own risk establishment, and don't be surprised if you or your children leave with injuries.
