Glendale Arena opened its doors on December 26, 2003. The arena was built as a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility and anchors the 223-acre, $1 billion development Westgate City Center – the “crown jewel” of sports and entertainment complexes. On October 25, 2006, Jobing.com purchased the naming rights to the building and Glendale Arena was renamed Jobing.com Arena. Owned by the City of Glendale, Gila River Arena is home to the National Hockey League’s Arizona Coyotes. Since opening, the arena has established itself as one of the premiere sports and entertainment venues in the country and has earned its place of distinction as “Arizona’s must play.” The arena received the prestigious Pollstar Best New Concert Venue of the Year Award in 2004, and has been recognized by azcentral as the Best Sporting Venue and Best Major Concert Venue in the Valley. With two separate concourses on two seating levels, Gila River Arena provides guests with non-restricted views of the action. The Arena also features an intimate seating bowl with all the modern amenities. There are 87 Luxury Suites at Gila River Arena, which includes two Luxury Tower Suites and 12 Luxury Party Suites that can accommodate large groups of up to 50 people. In addition, Club South (located on the Club Suites level) consists of approximately 400 upscale seats with unique club and dining opportunities.
